For shooters with an upper-limb impairment who shoot pistol one-handed, the basic technique largely matches that used by able-bodied shooters in disciplines that already require one-handed shooting, which simplifies initial learning and integration into group sessions.

Other federal disciplines, beyond rifle and pistol at 10 meters or in .22 Long Rifle, remain accessible depending on the shooter’s profile and category, notably certain precision shooting events on fixed targets at varying distances.
